The question is how would anyone pay for/raise money/monetize this. It would be a lot easier for fb or other social media to incorporate such an idea. Also, I'd be able to guess how a lot of my friends answer. The narrower the niche, the easier it would be.

Exactly thats why personal problem with friends could work.

Further than friends, it would be more interesting with a link where the problems can only be seen by the user who's created the link.
